Inspired Today-Prepared for Tomorrow
A word from Kerri
Hard to
believe we are back at level 3 again, there is a strange sense of dejavu and I
hope that we can get through this level as quickly as possible and get back to
normal school.
As the year progresses, we will do everything we can to ensure that these senior students have the Year 5 and 6 experiences that they deserve.
We have had some feedback from the teachers, telling us that older siblings have been so helpful over the past few days and have helped their little brothers and sisters get connected to their learning. This is great leadership shown by the Kauri team!
As a school we have worked hard to ensure we have a far more structured and consistent platform across the school. Thank you for your engagement and patience as we adjust to online learning once more.
We are aware of some minor connection issues, but overall we have a high turn out to our zoom sessions and work is being published on our platforms.
Well done to the teachers, who have worked extremely hard to prepare lessons and to the parents and children for hitting the ground running on Monday.
Thank you to the parents who have taken time to send emails letting us know that the new structure is working and that their children are engaged and organised for their learning.
Each week we are asking parents and teachers for feedback on our online learning. Please fill in the survey below and we can use this to review our weekly delivery.

Essential workers
Please complete the survey if you need your
child to attend school next week
We are adding
the ID and passwords to our online learning hub, this will help with any
connection issues at home. We know that this has caused some frustrations. We
know the connection issues have caused children to enter zooms late, but
hopefully having the ID and password will help everyone to start on time.
It really helps the team of teachers if children are on time to zooms. Children entering lessons late is disruptive and makes it difficult for the lesson to get going.
Upcoming Events
Year 5 and 6 Camp/ EOTC
We understand there will be some anxiety about whether school camp and EOTC week will go ahead. This will of course depend on alert levels and further announcements from the Government. We will let families know as soon as we can if there is any change to our ability to go to camp.
Inner City Sports
Cross country has been cancelled.
We will continue to keep you all
informed of any further changes as the weeks progress.
Planning is going on behind the scenes
to plan for level 3, 2, and 1 and what this will mean for our inner city
sports.
Art Exhibition
A new date will be sorted before the end of next week. We are very keen to run this event, and hopefully we will be able to share the art with parents in some way. The children have created some stunning pieces!
Disco
We will also find a new date for the
disco, of course we will need to see what alert level status we are at when we
return to school.
Take care everyone!
