News from Kerri - Final notice Term 2 2020
Dear parents and caregivers
We are finally at the end of a very long term, and we want to wish the staff and community a restful and enjoyable holiday. We look forward to seeing you all back for term 3 and hopefully our first undisrupted term of the year! Take care and if you are travelling, travel safely.
Below are a few final updates to prepare for term 3.
Staffing Update
We would like to welcome back Victoria Caughey to Bayfield for Term 3. Victoria worked at Bayfield until 2017, and is returning for the rest of this year to work in the Titoki team, specifically in the Titoki iti space.
Liz Tidswell, who has been working with the Totara and Kowhai team is going to also join the Titoki iti team on Fridays.

But we wanted to provide families with what our main curriculum focuses are for this term.

Year 2 - Kowhai
Year 3 - Pohutukawa
Year 4 - Totara

Stop, Kiss and Go and the Yellow LinesStop, Kiss and Go will resume in term 3. This is the process of dropping off junior children in the morning and having senior children escort them to their team spaces. Look out for our amazing Year 5 leaders who will be waiting to support our junior children out of cars and into school from the first week back.
Yellow lines on Clifton Road by Titoki itiYou have probably noticed the broken yellow lines outside the junior area on Clifton Road and wondered why this is a no stopping area.
The purpose of this section is to make sure that children are able to cross the road safely and can see up Clifton Road, but more importantly allow for motorists to see the children. Please do not park in this section of road, as it is a major health and safety concern. The last thing any member of our community wants, is to cause an accident, or worse have a child hit by a car.
Once the road works are completed on Clifton Road, we are eager to engage with Auckland Transport on how they could provide a safer crossing option for children crossing Clifton Road.
