Sarah Vile remains on leave this term and Rose Watson is continuing to teach in the Year 3 space with Amanda Dallow as the Learning Leader. Our thoughts are with Sarah and her family at this time.   Kerri is helping to run basketball with Donna and Claire.  We also welcome Lyra and Carrie who are new Learning Assistants who will be working in the Puriri. Disco last term! A huge thank you to the BCG for running our very successful disco last term. It was a wonderful night and we raised $600 for Star Jam! The Nice

  Bayfield School Newsletter - Wednesday 30th of June Inspired Today-Prepared for Tomorrow Dates to remember Friday 2nd of July - Matariki breakfast ( Year 5&6) Diversity Assembly 9am Matariki House Day (all children to bring a vegetable for soup) Thursday 8th of July - School Disco in the hall Friday 9th of July - last day of the term A word from Kerri  Collaborative Learning Spaces  (Modern Learning Environments) There are some common misunderstandings about how collaborative spaces work and as most of us never went to school in a building like Bayfield, we can feel a little out of the loop or perhaps have some preconceived notions about how the school day may be structured.  Whilst we have the luxury of allowing children to learn in a large open and comfortable space, we do have the same very clear and tight expectations that are in place in other “traditional” environments. In some spaces, children have allocated work areas, much like an allocated desk that you may have had at
